Sharing…

Okay, I had to share this website I found…

Ithinksew

They have the darn cutest baby shoes I've ever seen. And their prices are really cheap (right?)

Take a look at these adorable baby sandals. Have you ever seen anything cuter? The pattern is $3! I have to buy it and I have to make these. Who cares if I never have another girl, these are too cute not to make.

So, most of the shoes are girly, and you two have boys. But…. There are a few boyish shoes. Look at these…. She has them paired up with a dress, but I think they look like boy loafers....and adorabe!

And she (or he) has patterns for bags and clutches. I want this bag! With that fabric! And I wouldn't mind the bouquet of flowers either!

And women's sized shoes. I can't pull these off. But I think they're cute and you two gals could sport these..

Anyways, blah blah blah, I just had to share….

The Latest Projects

I'm with Kristina...
Where's Molly!?
Probably unpacking and exploring Vermont country. (We want pictures!!!)
I feel a little like I'm "back in the saddle again". I've been doing a bit of sewing and it feels Goo-ood! The other day, Grant was outside with this adorable little bag. I asked Kristina if she made it and she said, "ya, it's a water bottle carrier" - or something to that extent. I then asked permission ;) to copy her, found a tutorial online and made a couple for my kiddos. I want one for me too now! (I'm sure I have some scraps I could make one out of.)
Here's a link to the tutorial I used.

I also made this little skirt for Jemma. The boys have ties out of the turquiose paisley print and so, with the left over scraps, a few other fabrics in my scrap box and a couple 99 cent fat quarters, I whipped it up for a grand total of approx. $3! Not bad!
I was really happy with the way it turned out, but the next time I make a "block scrap skirt" I'll make one change...the bottom row, hemmed, will be half the width it is now on this one (I guess I could shorten this one and have that problem fixed...pretty sure it's long enough).

And, finally, like Kristina, I made a shower gift for Jen's Twin Baby Boys. Just a set of flannel jammies and super simple appliqued onsies to match.

They kinda match Kristina's ADORABLE blankets!!!

Fabric swap and shower gift

First of all, can I just begin by saying... where is Molly? Am I the only one who hasn't heard from her? I guess I should ask.... am I the only one who hasn't called her? probably! Okay, I'll call this very second, after I post this.

So, I wanted to share my fabric squares I'm shipping off tomorrow for the I Spy swap. Seriously, next time I find one of these swaps, do you guys want in? Sadly, I never found my lost fabric, so I got more (and it was not longer the cost-effective project I thought it would be). I love the strawberries! At the end of August I get my 200 fabrics back, I'll post those when I get them… hopefully they're not too ugly.

Okay, Jen Farr's shower is today and I just finished the blankets. If you ever find a tip or trick for sewing minky fabric to cotton, let me know! It was a pain in the rear end! My edges aren't straight and there is bunching everywhere. But I don't think her babies will mind too much. Trust me, the green is not
that pale in real life. I actually like the green one better. I know you guys won't believe me, but I paired all those fabrics together by myself. They're not even in the same fabric line, I literally had to walk around Fabric Depot and find matching fabric. This is a big deal for me, if you know what a fabric nincompoop I am!

Here they are, bundled up and ready to give away. Aw, I just love the dots, don't you?

That's it, that's all I've got for you lovely ladies.
